FITUR|HARGA Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini pro
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini pro
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini proSONY ERICSSON X10 Mini Pro REVIEW

The SONY ERICSSON X10 Mini Pro takes many of the original handsets features and technology and shrinks them down into a far smaller handset with a 3.2 inch touch screen as opposed to the large 4.3 inch display of the X10, added to this is a full Qwerty slide out keyboard for those people who like to press physical buttons when entering text rather than the on-screen option.

One big difference between the new X10 Mini Pro and the previous X10 and soon to be launched Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is that the camera has been slightly downgraded from 8.1 mega pixels to 5.0, this also helps to keep the price of this new Android handset low with the initial release price slated at £249.99, compared with the £489.99 asking price of the original X10 model this is a huge discount.

The release date for the SIM Free Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro is now confirmed as May 24th 2010, the Mini version of this handset without the Qwerty keyboard is also rumoured to be launching at around the same time giving consumers a real choice of new, smaller Android phones.

The main display changes slightly from the larger model with the manufacturer using short-cuts in each corner of the screen, they claim that this makes it far easier to select features and applications just using your thumb on the smaller touch screen and these can also be personalised to your favourite programs and functions.

SONY ERICSSON SATIO
SONY ERICSSON SATIO
SONY ERICSSON SATIO REVIEW

Sony Ericsson Satio is a smartphone, announced by Sony Ericsson at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on 15 February 2009 as the Idou (pronounced "I do"). It was released on 7 October 2009 in the UK in 3 colour schemes: Black, Silver and Bordeaux (Red).

The focus of the phone is the high quality playback of music and video, as well as photography. The camera is located on the back of the phone, behind a slider and features a xenon flash. On the side of the phone, there is a shutter button, and a button which allows you to switch between still and video modes. Next to this is a rocker switch for zooming in and out. Also on this side is a button for playback of photos or video. The other side of the phone has a sliding lock button and a covered slot for a MicroSD card.

There is a front facing video camera on there too for all that video calling fun everyone has these days, but it's down the sides of the phone where the button frenzy really begins.

On the left-hand side is the slider for unlocking the phone (which is in just about the right place for most hands), the standard Sony Ericsson port for USB connection, charging and headphone connection (boo!). Below that lives the microSD slot, which is covered by a nice hinged flap.

Over on the right side of the phone we get the camera controls, with the zoom buttons doubling as the volume up/down keys, despite having the 'proper' zoom icons on.

Below this is the photograph playback key, allowing quick access to your snaps in both camera mode and standby. There's also a video/camera swap hard key as well, which we're trying to work out if it has another function in other applications. It appears not to.

And below that is the stylishly hewn shutter for the camera. This side of the phone is well put together, laid out in the right manner and given the Satio's penchant for touch operation, a welcome addition

REVIEW AND SPECIFICATION OF NOKIA X2
NOKIA X2
NOKIA X2 REVIEW

Nokia’s X series –the X3 and X6 and surely what we can expect upcoming X series handsets that seemingly in time with unofficial Nokia X2. In a report by NokiaPort “the Indonesian equivalent of the FCC has approved the Nokia X2, confirming its existence.” Details like quad-band GSM connectivity and Bluetooth also span on the post. Looking closely at the naming convention, X2 suggest low-end handset and obviously cheap favoring the masses. The official announcement from Nokia to show off X2 is still missing for now, but talking about another X-series handset come the interesting mock-up for Nokia X9, which seems quite believable. If this concept will run true, it will be based on X6 and should come with an AMOLED touchscreen display, 12MP camera with HD video recording, HDMI port, and dedicated Facebook and Twitter keys.

NOKIA N8 FULL SPEC

NOKIA N8 REVIEW AND FULL SPECIFICATION
NOKIA N8
NOKIA N8

Nokia N8 has been officially announced. And it seems that the leaked spec sheet was legit. Still, now that we have official announcement, the final specs, official pics and release videos for Nokia N8 are here.

Even a day hasn’t passed since the scathing first impressions on Nokia N8 flagship, and the details about new handset just keep poring out.

At this rate, Nokia may soon have no chance but go with the official announcement, even if the actual shipping date of Nokia N8 will be delayed until September.

The thing I’m talking about right now is, what seems to be an internal Nokia N8 spec sheet, that has somehow ended up on on one of the russian file download sites.

Nokia N8 today officially emerges into the daylight, stepping out of the shadows equipped with a host of smartphone talents. The first device to be powered by the brand new Symbian^3 platform, the Nokia N8 will launch with a new breed of camera that promises to capture photos and video to rival dedicated point and shoot cameras. Read on to explore Nokia N8’s full list of talents.

The biggest feature on the Nokia N8 is its 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash. It features a substantially larger sensor than any ever used in any other Nokia device – even bigger than many found in dedicated cameras. Recently, we caught up with Nokia’s resident camera guru, Damian Dinning, to get the full lowdown on what went into fine-tuning the N8’s camera and video capture skills – you’ll be able to read the full fact-packed story right here on Conversations this week, so stay tuned.

The Nokia N8 also introduces the ability to record high definition videos and edit them with a smart built-in editing suite on the device. Playback quality is just as important, and the 3.5-inch HD capacitive touchscreen is the ideal window for assessing your flicks and footage. There’s also a HDMI connector allowing you to hook the smartphone to your HD TV and share your media with friends and family in superb quality. We wanted to find out more about the benefits of HDMI in the Nokia N8 so we spoke to Paul Wheeler, a software program manager at Nokia, to get the full story – again, be sure to keep an eye out for our full story this later this week.

NOKIA E5 SPECIFICATION AND REVIEW

NOKIA E5
NOKIA E5 REVIEW

Nokia E5 was just announced and we just learnt that it’s a successor to the Nokia E63Nokia E63. It’s a Business phone powered by Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP2. the phone packs a 320x240 display and measures 115 mm x 58.9 mm x 12.8 mm. It weighs 126 gms and has a nice metallic finish on the rear. The mail highlights of the E5 is the Email and Instant messaging with 1 click access to SMS, EMail and IM. The QWERTY keypad is similar to the E63 and there is a dedicated keys for Home and Messaging.

Packing the latest version of S60 3rd edition, the Nokia E5 boasts a suite of homescreen features including one-touch access to your favourite contacts, and your favourite social networks. It also boasts Facebook updates direct to your contacts list, so you can always see what your friends are up to and, as it packs the latest version of Nokia Messaging, you get full Instant Messaging functionality too.

Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation is on board, as is Ovi Store and with Nokia Messaging comes access to email on the go with support for multiple email accounts, including popular mail services such as Ovi Mail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and for the business folk, Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.

The Nokia E5’s screen is a 2.4-inch affair which is perfect for showing off snaps taken with the 5-megapixel camera. Below the screen comes two hot keys and dedicated buttons for both the homescreen and messaging and call start/answer and end buttons, the latter doubling as the on off button – like the C3.

Like the Nokia E71 and E72 before it, the Nokia E5 is a tidy little number with similar dimensions, though the E5 is approximately 2mm chubbier than it’s predecessors. On the plus side, it weighs in a whole 2 grams lighter than the E72. Before you say boo, though, did we mention the no-need-t0-charge-me-I-still-have-plenty-left battery life? Storage is taken care of with 250MB of on-board memory and support for up to 16GB on microSD.

NOKIA C6 REVIEW
Second out of the blocks today comes the all new Nokia C6. With a 3.2-inch HD touchscreen display and a slide out four-row QWERTY keyboard, the new C6 brings the best of messaging together with instant access to your favourite contacts and communications. Not to mention a five-megapixel camera and a very respectable seven hours of talktime (in GSM mode). Read on after the jump to find out what else it has in store.

The Nokia C6 boasts a customisable homescreen which will also play host to your favourite contacts, your latest emails and your friends’ Facebook updates. With Nokia Messaging on board, you have support for up to 10 email accounts from your favourite email hosts including Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Ovi Mail.

Nokia C6 will be the third side-slider in the S60 5th edition family and according to the new naming convention, adopted by the Finnish company it shouldn’t be much pricier than the Nokia C5 (135 euro before taxes). The Nokia C6 only has 256 MB of internal memory (compare to 32 GB in Nokia N97 and 8GB in N97 mini) and seems to drop the steel frame in favor of an all-plastic body. The tilting LCD is also removed in the Nokia C6, probably to make space for the extra row on the keyboard. Fortunately, the 3G connectivity and the microSD card slot have been retained.
